Picture this: Aunt Becky has lovingly, excitedly filled out her reply card including at the bottom that she would love to help you pay for your flowers. The only problem is silly, generous Becky has forgotten to write her name at the top of the card! She was so excited to send back her reply card, she even forgot to include her return address. So when you open your mailbox, and you get this reply card back, you have no idea who it’s from. This is also very helpful for families that have a lot of people attending with the same last names, for example, Mr. & Mrs. Harvey.

RSVP tracking is a system we put in place to secretly mark the back of each and every reply card you send out. It involves invisible ink and a super-secret-spy pen! (I’m not kidding.)

We create a master list of all your guests and their numbers and when someone sends back a card with no name on it you can easily decipher who’s whoopsie-daisy you’re looking at.

Why invisible ink? A few reasons, but mostly so that your guests don’t see what number they are on the list. Maybe you ranked them in order of importance or likability (we won’t tell), or they could be in alphabetical order, but you know there’s going to be that one person that’s going to question everything if they see they’re #150. Invisible ink keeps the back of your card nice and clean (especially if you have other design elements on the back) and keeps Aunt Becky from being a drama llama.

Fun fact: RSVP actually stands for the French phrase répondez s’il vous plaît which translates to “please reply.” You’re welcome.
